Acer Nitro XV272U RV launched with a 27-inch 170 Hz 1440p panel and an affordable price tag
he Nitro XV272U RV is Acer’s newest mid-range gaming monitor. Its 27-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440) panel is clocked at 170 Hz, covers 95% of the DCI P3 colour gamut and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. It will go on sale in October 2022 for US$499.
Alongside the high-end Predator XB273K LV, Acer has also unveiled a lower-cost option that strikes a balance between price and performance. The Acer Nitro XV272U RV is also a 27-inch monitor, but with a lower resolution (2,560 x 1,440) and a refresh rate of 170 Hz (overclocked and through DP port only). Natively, the refresh rate is capped to 144 Hz.
The Acer Nitro XV272U RV boasts of a 1 ms grey-to-grey response time and AMD Freesync Premium support. It also covers 95 % of the DCI-P3 colour gamut,has delta E values lower than 1 and a peak brightness of 400 nits. Other certifications include VESA DisplayHDR 400 and TUV Rhineland Eyesafe.
Much like its predecessors, the Nitro XV272U RV uses Acer’s Ergostand that allows users to adjust tilt, height, swivel and pivot for optimum viewing angles. Acer hasn’t mentioned the monitor’s port options, but the included images suggest that it could pack two HDMI ports, a DP 1.4 port, and two USB Type-A ports. It will be available for purchase in North America for US$449 sometime in October 2022.
