AOC has unveiled the AGON PRO AG274QZM, a 27-inch gaming monitor with an IPS panel. Billed as being geared toward pro-competitive gamers and esports enthusiasts, the AGON PRO AG274QZM has a 3-sided frameless display that outputs at 1.07 billion colours. Moreover, the display has a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel native resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate and ‘true’ 1 ms GtG response times.

Predictably, AOC has included NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility to minimise image tearing and stuttering. Arguably, the most exciting element of the AGON PRO AG274QZM is AOC’s use of mini LED backlights. According to the company, the AGON PRO AG274QZM relies on 576 dimming zones that can generate up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. AOC adds that the AGON PRO AG274QZM is also VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, which means that the panel supports 10-bit image processing too.

Additionally, AOC equips the AGON PRO AG274QZM with USB Type-C connectivity that can recharge devices at up to 65 W, plus four USB 3.2 Type-A ports and four dedicated video outputs. AOC states that the AGON PRO AG274QZM will be available next month in the UK for £999 and €1,309 in the Eurozone.
