Intel Core i9-14900T Benchmarked

BenchLeaks has recently disclosed a Geekbench 6 score for Intel’s Core i9-14900T, highlighting its impressive capabilities despite having a considerably lower thermal design power (TDP) in comparison to the Core i9-14900K. As a member of Intel’s 14th Generation CPU series, the Core i9-14900T delivers notable performance while consuming only half the power of its K-series equivalent, demonstrating only a 22% reduction in the multi-core evaluation of Geekbench 6.

Tom’s Hardware’s analysis highlights the impressive single-core performance of the Core i9-14900T, putting it head-to-head with AMD’s Ryzen 9 7900 processor, renowned for its energy efficiency. With eight P-cores and 16 E-cores, the Core i9-14900T surpasses its K-series counterpart in power efficiency, albeit at slightly lower clock speeds. Despite this, benchmark results show that the Core i9-14900T performs closely to the Core i9-14900K, while consuming less power and running at reduced clock speeds. The chip’s efficient use of its 106W TDP is evident in its performance metrics, with sustained clock speeds approaching its maximum boost clock.

Despite being listed at with an RCP, the Core i9-14900T has not yet been made available on the shelves of major U.S. retailers, highlighting the challenges it faces in terms of availability in the market.
