Comments Off on ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom review
ASRock has entered the fray with the submission of their Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB. We have evaluated the Phantom Gaming OC model, which boasts improved cooling, lower temperatures, and reduced noise levels. Naturally, a solid factory modification is also necessary. The question remains: will 12GB of GPU memory be adequate? As we approach the midpoint of 2022, AMD is refreshing its RDNA 2 graphics card lineup with a new series of cards. These are all revamped and reconfigured products, signifying an incremental improvement rather than a new generation of cards based on the same RDNA 2 architecture. The primary distinction lies in the use of faster memory. All three graphics cards feature up to 18Gbps GDDR6 memory chips, an increase from 16Gbps on non-50 versions. Some AIBs will configure the 6650 XT at 17.5 Gbps, while OC models will be configured at 18 Gbps. Additionally, all graphics cards will utilize a similar GPU as their predecessor but will come with increased memory and boost/game clock rates. Consequently, the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT will surpass the Radeon RX 6900 XT, and the Radeon RX 6750 XT will surpass the Radeon RX 6700 XT. Similarly, the Radeon RX 6650 XT will surpass the Radeon RX 6600 XT. This can be considered AMD’s own ‘SUPER’, although the shader and RT count will remain unchanged without any major advancements. The lineup aims to deliver performance improvements ranging from 5% to 10%, with memory playing a significant role in achieving these performance objectives. Once again, the new lineup will be as follows:
ASRock’s Phantom Gaming OC Series features the Radeon RX 6750 XT.
The ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT utilizes AMD’s RDNA2 architecture and is now equipped with 12GB of faster GDDR6 RAM running at 18 Gbps on a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU has a base clock of 2495 MHz, a boost clock of 2623 MHz, and a game clock of 2554 MHz. Two 8-pin PCIe power cords are required to power the graphics card, which has a TDP of approximately 250W. ASRock Phantom Gaming incorporates its 3X Cooling System featuring three striped axial fans, a reinforced frame, and a metal backplate for efficient cooling. The card offers three DisplayPort 1.4 ports with DSC compatibility and one HDMI 2.1 port with VRR support. There is a lot to explore in this review; let’s delve into the details starting from the next page after two pages of photographs.
