AMD, Graphic Card

AMD is set to unveil the Radeon RX 8000 / Navi 48 GPU during CES 2025, with the Navi 44 expected to be released in Q2.

AMD plans to debut its Radeon RX 8000 graphics cards, which will showcase the latest Navi 48 GPU, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2025. Additionally, the company is preparing to release other models featuring the Navi 44 GPU in the second quarter of the same year. The Radeon RX 8000 series, built on the RDNA4 architecture, represents a major advancement in AMD’s graphics offerings. Reports from a reputable GPU information outlet indicate that AMD will first reveal its top-tier models equipped with the Navi 48 GPU.

This particular chip plays a crucial role in AMD’s RDNA4 lineup. Speculations have suggested that AMD could potentially skip releasing top-tier models in the Radeon RX 8000 series, opting to position the Navi 48 as a mid-range GPU. The anticipated performance of the Navi 48 is said to be on par with the RDNA3’s Navi 31 GPU, which currently drives the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT GPUs.

AMD intends to launch lower-tier models with the Navi 44 GPU in the second quarter of 2025. It is expected that the performance of the Navi 44 will be positioned between the capabilities of the Navi 33 and Navi 32 chips.
