Asus has launched a pair of TUF Gaming monitors that are in the process of being certified as NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. These are the 27-inch Asus VG279QR and the 24.5-inch Asus VG259QR. The two gaming monitors share identical features and the only actual differences between them are the display size, dimensions, and weight. Each offers an FHD IPS display with 300 cd/㎡ brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and 100M:1 Asus Smart Contrast Ratio. The displays cover 72% of the NTSC color space and support 8-bit color. Both are equipped with two HDMI 1.4 inputs, DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone jack. Via the HDMI ports, they support up to 144Hz refresh rate, and via DisplayPort, they support up to 165Hz refresh rate. In addition, their stands offer identical ergonomic options – height adjustment up to 130 mm, -5° to 35° tilt, +/-90° swivel, +/-90° pivot. Finally, the two monitors share a number of traditional Asus features including Color Temperature Selection, Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB), Flicker-free technology, GameFast Input technology, GamePlus, GaneVisual, Low Blue Light, Shadow Boost, Skin-Tone Selection. Each of the models has a pair of 2W stereo speakers integrated.
